3 months agoI highly recommend taking advantage of the free membership for first time parents. Our daughter is only 10 months old but her face lights up when we go to the WonderLab because she LOVES the toddler/infant play area. I can already see how much she will continue to love everything they offer when she’s older, but we can easily spend an hour or two in the toddler corner where she can crawl around and climb safely and play with new toys. It’s nice to take an infant on a freezing winter day when other kids are in school and it’s pretty quiet in there!

3 weeks agoAbsolutely incredible children's activity space! There were so many things to do and it was affordable. Definitely somewhere you can visit again and again. We can't wait to go back!

4 months agoToday, my son and I decided to visit the WonderLab Science Museum in Bloomington, expecting an engaging and educational experience for children. Imagine my surprise when I was told at the entrance that I had to purchase a ticket for myself at the same price as my child! The reasoning? Apparently, this is a museum, and as an adult, I’m also supposed to "enjoy the exhibits." But let’s clarify something. The International Council of Museums defines a museum as a nonprofit institution serving society, which collects, preserves, interprets, and displays tangible and intangible heritage. Where is the "heritage" here? This is essentially an interactive children’s play area where most adults have nothing to do except supervise their kids. This approach is not just unfair; it’s outright dishonest. The owners, hiding behind the fancy title of "museum," are essentially forcing parents to pay for the right to perform their parental duty — watching over their children. If you want to call this "family entertainment," then adjust your pricing and policies accordingly. As it stands, this feels more like an attempt to profit off parents rather than offering children a meaningful experience. This was my first and will be my last visit to this place.

2 weeks agoWOW!!! We were blown away by WonderLab. We are in town visiting family so it was our first visit. WonderLab has so many amazing spaces for little explorers. We brought our 5, 3 and 1.5 year olds and it’s hard to say who had the most fun! The favorites were all the water exploration (especially the duplo/dam and whirlpool sections!), the sand topography area, the shadow room, the climbing structure, and the teamwork crane challenge! The entomologists upstairs were also so engaging and interesting! Even the adults had a blast! Truly one of the best spaces for families we’ve been to! We’ll be back!!!
