It's awesome to watch your kids learn to care for, ride, and be safe around horses! Definitely enjoying our experience! We appreciate such a awesome opportunity. Also just learned they have family camp! Definitely hope to check it out!

this past session was my third year here at camp kern. literally the best experience of my life. if your a parent, looking to send your kid DO IT!!! it’s so much fun. My counselors were so nice, my cabin mates were the best and I honestly had some of the best days of my life here at camp. everything is just so much fun. you bond so much with these people that most of the time, you’ve never met before. literally the best days of my life spent at camp kern. 10/10. love it so much!!!

My children have had an incredible experience at Camp Kern over the past few years. It's been a place of joy, growth, and countless cherished memories. While my son thoroughly enjoyed his time there, I must admit he was a bit disappointed not to see his favorite leader, Ethan, return this past year. Camp Kern has consistently provided a nurturing and fun environment for my kids. They've had the opportunity to explore the outdoors, make new friends, and engage in a wide range of exciting activities. From team-building exercises to adventurous hikes and creative camp games, the camp's diverse offerings have truly enriched their summers. The new counselors have been enthusiastic and caring, ensuring my children's safety and happiness. It's a testament to the camp's commitment to maintaining a high standard of care and mentorship. We're grateful for the overall positive atmosphere and unforgettable adventures that Camp Kern has provided for our family. We look forward to more summers filled with laughter and growth at this exceptional camp.

This past session was my 3rd year at Kern, I have loved every year I have spent there. I was a bit uncertain and scared my first year (as to be expected out of someone who had never been away from their parents for a week) but the counselors I had (Lizzy and another counselor who’s name I cannot remember) helped me feel comfortable there! And last year, I had Ellie and Millie (Ellie, the Adventure Village leader, and Millie, who from what I’ve heard has mostly been on theme recently) and they were some of my favorite counselors, though Boaz was my favorite (up until last week, actually, lol) cause he was HILARIOUS even if I got kinda hurt in his care (it was completely my fault). This year I was in Pioneer, I had Molly and Liv as my counselors. Everyone in Pioneer was so amazingly hilarious, and I enjoyed the fact that it was only two cabins, it made it easier for everyone to know each other. Eeb, the Pioneer Village leader is my favorite counselor now, mainly because he was so goofy. I have been going each year with three of my friends (sadly this year one of my friends was placed in the wrong thing this year [theme and not main camp]) and having friends there DEFINITELY helps, I don’t know if I would’ve been able to enjoy camp as much if I didn’t have friends there. (I say this as a socially awkward teen, who is good at making friends but bad at approaching people.) Lots of the people that I met I wasn’t expecting to become friends with, but I did. Sadly, next year will be my last as a camper, but I hope to come back when I’m 16 as a CIT.
