a month agoChris is so good with kids! He's great at engaging them in story telling and play and teaching them all the things! They love him and he's definitely a "cool" adult which is a wonderful and rare find!

a year agoChris was my son's writers workshop teacher and more recently his writing tutor. All I can say is that Chris has a true gift for reaching and engaging students - I wish I could go back and learn to write from him. He has helped my son immensely and the foundation he is building in his writing skills now will carry on throughout life. Not only has he helped my son with skills and mechanics; more importantly he has inspired my son to enjoy writing and be more confident with his writing. Chris has found his calling and the Richmond area kids are so lucky he has! I would highly recommend!

a year agoChris has worked with both of our kids as an aftercare teacher, soccer coach, and, more recently, writing tutor for our teenager. He is endlessly patient, likable, and fun — kids genuinely like and trust Chris. He is excellent at infusing fun games with lessons and skills. As a writing tutor, he has been prepared, strategic, and effective. Our teenager needs support with organizing thoughts and structuring writing for clarity, and Chris has skillfully made improvements in these areas without losing our teenager’s own voice. We highly recommend Chris!

a year agoCoach Chris is nothing less than amazing. He supports the whole child - on and off the field. He is an impressive mix of encouraging, direct, and firm. He values the socioemotional development of his players, which is what youth sports should be doing at it's core. He is very skilled in communicating with the kids he coaches, and watching the development of his team from a skills based and emotional based perspective is awe-inspiring. The parents on the sidelines constantly talk about how lucky we are to have our kids in his mentorship.
